Wiz Khalifa Opens Up About Kanye Apology
Wiz speaks to Angie Martinez about Ye, his watch, and more.
The week in peace-treaties continues with Wiz Khalifa and Kanye West calling a truce.
Following last week’s infamous Twitter disruption, both stars buried the hatchet and during an appearance The Angie Martinez Show on Power 105.1 yesterday (February 2), Wiz spoke on the incident and the resolution.
When asked if he was surprised by Kanye’s reaction, Wiz answered, “I think everybody was, but it’s cool. Like, everything’s cool. We spoke; it’s all good.”
Later the “Bake Sale” rapper, whose self-titled project KHALIFA arrives on Friday (February 5), added, “Yes he apologized and I accept his apology.”
“It was just meant to be, there’s too many people in between that are awesome for that to be real,” he explained. “So the social media thing was one thing and the reality of the situation is we spoke and it’s all good.”
In addition to speaking on the much-discussed hot topic, Wiz also denied rumors about his Rolex watch being snatched at a recent show in Brazil. “Somebody tried to take my shoe,” he clarified, “Because I usually jump down in the pit and somebody tried to take my shoe. So I guess they made a little rumor about it.”
So in summation: the beef is no more, the watch is in tact, and yes, Khalifa arrives in stores this Friday (February 5).
What a crazy couple of weeks.
