Lady Gaga To Honor David Bowie At Grammy Awards

  /  02.02.2016

This just in! Lady Gaga will pay tribute to David Bowie with a special performance at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards. While already booked to make an appearance at the award show, she will now contribute in honoring the icon, set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Nile Rodgers, who produced Bowie’s Let’s Dance LP, will serve as music director for the performance.

“When David passed — almost in a single moment — we knew we had to change direction,” said executive producer of the GRAMMY Awards Ken Ehrlich. “We immediately spoke and agreed that she [Lady Gaga] should be the one to honor David. She’s perfect for it. So I reached out to Nile and, before long, we were on our way to creating what we believe will not only make a great GRAMMY Moment, but one befitting of David.”

The tribute will mark Lady Gaga’s fourth Grammy appearance and probably the most entertaining yet.

She is nominated for Best Song Written For Visual Media for “Til It Happens To You” with Diane Warren.

The Grammys air live on CBS February 15 at 8pm EST with LL Cool J serving as host for the fifth consecutive year.
