Future’s Former Bodyguard Shot And Killed In Georgia Home
A gunman remains at large.
A former bodyguard of Future was murdered at his Georgia home on Monday (January 25).
Michael Phillips, 27, was confirmed dead by police on Monday afternoon after he was shot and killed according to a report by Fox 5 Atlanta. Phillips was at home with his wife when he was gunned down in the foyer of their Jonesboro residence.
The newlyweds were expecting their first child.
“Some of the neighbors heard some arguing and some gunshots,” said Clayton County Police Department’s Lieutenant Frank Thomas. “We’re still interviewing some of them to try and piece together everything at this time.”
The gunman remains at large.
Phillips once worked as a bodyguard for Future back in 2011. Taking to Twitter this morning, the rapper expressed his condolences, tweeting, “Rest in Paradise Big Mike.”
Police have yet to make an arrest or identify any possible suspects.
