Kendrick Lamar Earns Top And Most Overrated Album Honors In Pitchfork Poll
It seems the Pitchfork readers both praised and faulted ‘TPAB.’
Kendrick Lamar’s 2015 album To Pimp A Butterfly was by all accounts a landmark album, both dense topically and sonically rich. There’s a reason the rapper was nominated for nine Grammy Awards. However, the Pitchfork readers are split on the TDE star.
The results of Pitchforks’s annual readers poll features King Kendrick as the winner of the Top 50 Albums and also listed as the most overrated album.
Following K.Dot on the top albums portion were Sufjan Stevens (Carrie & Lowell), Tame Impala (Currents), Jamie xx (In Color) and Father John Misty (I Love You, Honeybear).
Carly Rae Jepson’s E MO TION was named most underrated album and Tame Impala’s “Let It Happen” was the top track.
