Los Angeles-based dubstep producer Datsik has garnered millions of bass music fans across the globe over the past half decade, and now it’s his turn to discover the next wave of rising DJs under his label imprint, Firepower.

The 27-year-old Canada native is also gearing up to take his career back to the origins that inspired him in the first place: hip-hop.

REVOLT recently caught up with Datsik for a tour of his LA pad and poolside studio, where he dished on the “death” of dubstep, his hip-hop evolution, uncovering new talent, advice from Flux Pavilion and he even introduced us to his new kitten, Obi.
