Although the screen we watch them on is shrinking, music videos still matter as much today as they did 10 years ago. Proof is in the numbers. And there are a lot of numbers to go by.
Vevo’s list of 2015 most viewed videos is led Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.” Taylor Swift pulled triple duty, with “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off” and “Bad Blood” all landing in the top 10. The latter was a 2015 debut, while the former two were a holdovers from the year before that continued to grow in views.
Adele cracked the top 10, an impressive feat considering “Hello” just recently arrived. Other notable entries included Sia, Meghan Trainor and Maroon 5.
