The 2016 Grammy Awards nominations were announced this morning (December 7), and let’s just say, aside from Kendrick Lamar’s fan excitement, Twitter didn’t hold back from sharing their thoughts. With the most notable reactions drawing from Future being snubbed, Kamasi Washington left out of the jazz category, Drake nominated for his dis track and Taylor Swift nabbing seven nominations, there’s a lot to be said about the upcoming ceremony.

For starters, congratulatory’s were in order, as celebrities thanked fans and saluted fellow musicians.

But of course not everyone expressed the same thoughts and gratitude. Known for his impressive instrumental arrangement on Kendrick Lamar’s TPAB and his contribution to Flying Lotus’ previous project, jazz composer Kamasi Washington seemed to have missed the nomination crop.

Along with Future hive for not getting any recognition.

Not to mention, Lupe Fiasco and Wale’s Grammy L’s.

But quite possibly the most talked about nomination, went to Drake for his diss record to Meek Mill over the summer. Game, set, match.
