After sharing their contribution track to Adult Swim’s singles program, Run the Jewels channel the New York City gang-torn culture in their latest animated clip for “Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite).”

Shot by “Rubble Kings” director Shawn Nicholson, the animated video is a tale of gang violence from the streets, subways and NYC inner-city. The clip follows a woman from the stricken section of town run by the Rubble Kings, who is later attacked by a member of a rival gang while walking from her grandmother’s house. The woman enlists help from the Rubble Kings, before everything quickly transpires into a spin-off from “The Warriors” and it ends in a subway standoff.

The track, which marked the first new offering from the duo since their remix album Meow the Jewels, appears on the companion album for the documentary “Rubble Kings,” which is out January 15 via Mass Appeal.

In addition to “Rubble Kings Theme (Dynamite)”, Rubble Kings: The Album features offerings from Bun B, Ghostface Killah, TV on the Radio’s Tunde Adebimpe and more.
