Call it a case of generosity.

Scott Storch created a few tracks recently and had to decide who to send them to, including Rick Ross’ rising banger, “Sorry.”

But, the line to Storch and Ross wasn’t a straight one.

“Working on the ‘Sorry’ record was interesting,” Storch told REVOLT. “I reached out to Chris and his manager, Mike G., and I sent them a batch of beats and he recorded to all of that. And he said, ‘What should we do with these?’”

Of the batch, Storch explained, Brown cut three records, one of which (“Wrong In The Right Way”) he kept for his joint LP with Tyga. Another, potentially called “Flawless,” is set for Breezy’s forthcoming album, Royalty. And the third, was “Sorry,” a swooning number that finds Chris crooning about his relationship woes in a strokes that weren’t broad and vague but perhaps detailed and personal.

“When I got it back, initially I was like, Wow, this is real,” Storch said. “You felt him emoting on the record, it was a part of him opening up.”

Brown suggested Storch keep the track for his own album. But the producer instead made a phone call, to Rick Ross. There’s the generosity again.

Ross was a willing recipient and he recorded verses and used the offer as the first single on his new album, Black Market. Last week, the MMG boss premiered the video, which co-stars Lira Galore, in a case of break up to makeup. Giving never sounded so good.
