Google is finally figuring out their music options, this time launching the YouTube Music app powered by its Red subscription service.

The app transforms songs into stations, according to an early preview by Billboard. Think Pandora, but with the control of Spotify or Apple Music. YouTube is already the largest music platform on the planet, yet the service is more Wild West than transactional operation in the vein of its would-be competitors.

The app is currently available for iPhone users and is resting in the top 10 of the App Store charts as of press time.

Meanwhile, Apple has announced it will close down its Beats Music App. The mobile music-subscription service will shut its doors on November 30, according to a report. A message to customers informed them of the decision and notified them to switch to Apple Music, which was launched after Apple purchased Beats.
