Rae Sremmurd is having the best year ever. And at this point, you should be able to say their name fluently.
After releasing their debut album Sremmlife on Ear Drummer/Interscope Records at the top of the year, which earned the pair three BET Award nominations, peak at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 list and secured them a opening slot ahead of Nicki Minaj, the brotherly duo made up of Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee have now announced their very own festival.
The first annual SremmFest is set to take place December 18-20 in their hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi, with a celebrity basketball game, BBQ and a full set of performances.
“We’re trying to bring good vibes back to our hometown and to bring positivity through the music that’s brought us from Tupelo, Mississippi, to all across the world,” Slim Jxmmi said in a statement released to Billboard.
Slim and Swae will be producing and curating the event themselves, as Yo Gotti, K Camp, DeJ Loaf, Two-9, Eearz and DJ set from Rae Sremm producer Mike WiLL Made It will highlight the musical lineup at the Bankcorp South Arena.
