FBI officials in connection with a case last year involved two drug kingpins allegedly investigated the Wu-Tang Clan’s connection to the two men over a 1999 hit that they claim may have been ordered by two members of the group.

According to the Staten Island Advance, a probe began into whether RZA and Raekwon issued a hit for two men who reportedly robbed their families. The investigation was instigated during the sentencing for two men who ran a “drug dynasty” and had close ties to the rap group. The trial closed last year and the two kingpins are still awaiting sentencing; it’s unclear if the FBI probe into the rap group has been closed.

In an unrelated incident, two men were stabbed over the weekend at a home in New Jersey owned by the RZA, according to the New Jersey Advance. Reports suggest RZA may not have been home at the time. The two men were taken to the hospital for severe injuries.
