We’re not sure when Kanye West is releasing SWISH, and apparently neither is he.

The rap/fashion superstar phoned in to Big Boy’s morning show to congratulate him on joining The Radio Hall of Fame—congrats Big Boy!—and during the call he offered a quick update on his long-awaited album.

“I keep working to find the language I want to say on my album. I’m in the lab every night,” ‘Ye explained, while also revealing The Weeknd’s “Tell Your Friends” was originally intended for his own project. “It sounds good. It’s like a sonic painting. It gets better and better every week.”

West admits he knows fans are growing impatient, but he said he’s “been working slow” and he also doesn’t “wanna overly try to hype it up.”

Yeezy also discussed his recent 808s & Heartbreak show in Los Angeles.
