From Drake versus Meek Mill to Deadmau5 versus, well, everyone, Twitter appears to be the go-to battleground for artists of all genres to display their quick-witted Internet insults (or just anger in Meek’s case). The electronic music world’s most recent viral back-and-forth came in the form of Detroit producer Seth Troxler’s comments back in August in a video documentary shadowing Troxler’s experience at mega-festival Tomorrowland in Belgium in July. The no-holds-barred Tuskegee frontman happened to be in the crowd during Dyro’s set at the main stage when he addressed the music as “sonic ear rape,” also claiming to have not known who Dyro was.
The video, produced by Techno Live Sets, caught fire within the dance industry eventually getting back to Dyro and prompting him to address the statements made by Seth on Twitter. With Zedd and Hardwell jumping in to defend Dyro, the 23-year-old Dutch DJ stopped by REVOLT where he opened up about deciding to respond and lending his two cents on Carnage’s Razer Music tutorial firestorm.
