Donald Glover, also known to hip hop heads as Childish Gambino, has just sold FX on his new series “Atlanta.”

The half-hour comedy show has been picked up for 10 episodes, and will feature Glover not only starring in the show, but executive producing it as well.

According to Variety, the series will follow two cousins fighting their way up the ladder in the Atlanta hip hop scene.

With Glover’s intimate knowledge of the hip hop industry coupled with FX’s legendary commitment to giving their showrunners artistic freedom, we are certainly in for an insightful season. Here’s hoping Glover can merge his talents for comedy and uncompromising hip hop into one unforgettable show.
