T.I. has apologized again for sexist comments made about 2016 presidential candidate and former first lady Hillary Clinton, this time in the form of a video posted to his Facebook page.
The 35-year-old came under fire for remarks he made about female world leaders while appearing on DJ Who Kid’s radio show, specifically noting that he wouldn’t vote for Clinton because she is a woman.
“Not to be sexist, but I can’t vote for the leader of the free world to be a woman,” he said. “It’s kinda like, I just know that women make rash decisions emotionally – they make very permanent, cemented decisions – and then later, it’s kind of like it didn’t happen, or they didn’t mean for it to happen.”
Tip initially offered up an apology on Twitter, but said he wanted to clear the air about his “jokes,” which he said were “not meant to be taken so seriously.”
The rapper is gearing up to release his 10th studio album, is gearing up to release his 10th album, The Dime Trap, later this year.
