About a month ago, rumor had it that Adele’s new album would arrive in the fall. Now, according to a report by The New York Times, it appears that the lauded singer is gearing up for a big release for “late November.”
After HitsDoubleDaily reported Adele’s 21 follow-up for a November 20 release, an unnamed source told the Times the “exact date was not certain but the release is confirmed for late November.”
Although Columbia Records, Adele’s label in the United States, has not confirmed or commented on the possible fall release, the possible time frame does happen to coincide with Billboard’s projection about the new album, which hints at names like Pharrell Williams, Danger Mouse and Max Martin as possible collaborators.
As per the Hits report, Adele reportedly inked a lucrative promotional deal with NBC that could find her on The Today Show, SNL, a one-hour primetime special surrounding the LP and a possible appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. However, there is no official confirmation for her label on the news.
The last album Adele released was 2011’s 21, which has gone to sell over 30 million copies worldwide and achieve a total of seven Grammy Awards, including album of the year. 21 is also the only album released in the last decade to earn an RIAA Diamond award.
