If you watched the second episode of _Empire _last night (September 30), you may have done one of two things:

1. Read REVOLT’s Ep. 2 Recap (shameless plug)

2. Ran over to iTunes in desperate search of the episodes’s special track, “Snitch Bitch”

While every episode has a standout song (Think “What The DJ Say” and “Drip Drop”), last night’s magnum opus was the latter record, which finds Lucious Lyon, expertly showing the art of Guwop’s in-house productivity, firing his musical weapon at the “snitch, snitch, snitching ass…” alright, you get it. Anyhow, while Terrence Howard’s character is the voice heard on the song, the track itself was written by and features Petey Pablo, who appears in the episode as Lyon’s prison pal, Clyde. And as it turns out, Pablo’s role actually happened to be 10 years in the making.

In an interview with Raleigh news station WRAL, the North Carolina rapper “sat back and reminsiced,” as Lyon raps on the said song, on the time he loaned Howard some money back in 2005 at the Hustle & Flow premiere party. As the story goes, Howard apparently lost his wallet at the shindig and Pablo kindly gave him $200 to hold. 10 year later, that kind gesture paid off and turned into a reported $15,000 paycheck.

In addition to the get back, Pablo also got to write four songs for Lucious on Empire. Talk about a come-up.
