Lana Del Rey Goes For A Swim In 'Music To Watch Boys To' Video
A surreal aquatic exploration.
Lana Del Rey dives in for a late-night swim in her latest video for “Music To Watch Boys To.” Following her melodramatic escape from paparazzi in a helicopter with her previous visual “High By The Beach,” the moody maven shares another single and feature video off her glamorously enticing new album Honeymoon.
Although the clip focuses on select scenes that mirror the song’s title, the singer is framed in a reclining beach chair, as gramophone horns fill the shot and the silhouette of one of her love interests plays basketball. Twirling around underwater with a few friends, Lana allows the piece to play out like footage from a dream-like vacation.
Premiering the tune earlier this month on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show, she says the song is one of her favorites on the LP, which she co-wrote with “Summertime Sadness” collaborator Rick Boyles. “The title lends itself to a visual of shadows of men passing by, this girl’s eyes, her face,” Del Rey told the Los Angeles Times. “I can definitely see things.”
