Shamir, “In For The Kill”

Shamir is on a visual roll. Following the announcement of his Apple Ad video campaign, featuring an acoustic version of his drumming dance number “In For The Kill,” the disco-pop singer has now shared the official video. Directed by frequent collaborator Anthony Sylvester, in the clip Shamir travels around in a DIY hot air balloon capsule, piloting a UFO around our planet. Appropriately, the video ends with an in-pursuit park ranger picking up a Ratchet cassette tape.

BJ The Chicago Kid, “Church” Feat. Chance The Rapper

BJ The Chicago Kid is a church-going man, but that doesn’t mean he is isn’t a man tempted by woman. Dropping his latest video “Church,” featuring his fellow Chi-town native Chance The Rapper, BJ prays he can make it to heaven after he’s seduced by a woman who wants to be wild for the night. Such a dilemma, right? Directed by Scott Lazes, the proceedings follow the guys from the bed to the church pews, as BJ pleads, “Hopefully we can go to heaven, because I’m staying.” Preach.

Gary Clark Jr., “The Healing”

Fresh off the release of his new album The Story of Sonny Boy Slim, Gary Clark Jr. unveils the music video for LP’s opening track “The Healing.” Centered on the suggestive title, director Gaston Jouanu focuses on the healing power of music. Clark’s fiancée and supermodel, Nicole Trunfio, plays a suffering woman who seeks remedies in the form of either a prescription or the advice of a uplifting soothsayer. “This music is my healing/ ‘Cause when this world upsets me/ This music sets me free,” Clark sings over the bluesy hook.
