Bobby Brown sat with The Real for his first interview since the passing of Bobbi Kristina Brown, his and Whitney Houston’s only daughter.

The 22-year-old daughter of Brown and Houston died in hospice care on July 26, after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub and placed in a medically induced coma.

In the yet to air interview, Brown shared remorse for not being at Bobbi Kristina’s home before the January 31st incident, stating that things would have turned out differently. “If I could have been there two days before, it wouldn’t have went down like that,” he admitted.

“We prayed and hoped for six months for something better to happen,” Brown said. “But when God calls you, he calls you.”

Brown was laid to rest right by her mother in New Jersey. According to Bobby, the singer believes Houston was ready for their daughter to be alongside her “in heaven.”

“I’m pretty sure her mother was… had a part with like, ‘Come on, let’s get her up here,” he said. “[I mean that] in the best way possible, because she… was just not comfortable by herself, I guess… she just called my daughter with her.”

The full interview is set to air today (September 14) on Fox’s talk show The Real.
