Late night hosts might be the new DJs. Pulling off the seemingly impossible, Stephen Colbert has tapped The Dead Weather to perform on his Late Show broadcast next month despite the band refusing to tour in support of their new album, Dodge and Burn.

The four-man collective, led by Jack White, will appear September 14, marking the first time they’ve appeared live in five years.

The news arrived today (September 1) as the comedian is just shy of a week out of making his debut.

Colbert’s firt two weeks will feature an eclective brew of musical acts, ranging from Kendrick Lamar (September) and Run The Jewels (September 15) to TV on the Radio (September 15) and Willie Nelson (September 16).

The new project from White, Alison Mosshart, Jack Lawrence and Dean Fertita is due September 25th.
