Mozzy drops new song “Streets Ain’t Safe” featuring BLXST

Mozzy and BLXST team up again for the new “Streets Ain’t Safe” track off Mozzy’s upcoming project, ‘Occupational Hazard.’

Grammy Award-nominated lyricist Mozzy linked up with fellow West Coast artist BLXST once again for another track, “Streets Ain’t Safe.” The song is off of Mozzy’s anticipated upcoming project Occupational Hazard, which is set to release on Sept. 22.

The duo already teamed up earlier this year for one of the fan favorite singles “I Ain’t Perfect” off of Beyond Bulletproof, Mozzy’s fifth studio album which dropped back in May. His project featured artists like Polo G, Shordie Shordie, and Eric Bellinger and peaked at #43 on the Billboard 200.

Hailing from Sacramento’s Oak Park neighborhood, EMPIRE artist Mozzy reached the ears of a mainstream audience after appearing on 2018’s #1 Grammy-nominated Black Panther soundtrack. The last Mozzy solo album was 2019’s Internal Affairs, but we also received Blood Cuzzins, which was a collaboration album with Tsu Surf that also dropped in 2019.

L.A.’s very own BLXST has been steadily gaining traction through the West Coast and beyond with his smooth, melodic hooks and honest lyrics. In 2019, he released a collaboration project with Bino Rideaux titled Sixtape. Just recently, he treated fans to a solo EP, No Love Lost, which dropped last week on Sept. 4. BLXST initially started earning notoriety for his production work and collaborations with Kendrick Lamar, YG, Mozzy, G Perico, Eric Bellinger, Bino Rideaux and more.
