Celebrities, activists and social media users continue to react to the horrifying video of a 29-year-old Black man — identified as Jacob Blake — getting shot by police officers Kenosha, Wisconsin.

The incident occurred when cops were responding to a “domestic situation” on Sunday afternoon (Aug. 23). Blake was shot at least seven times in the back and — as of Monday morning (Aug. 24) — is out of surgery and recovering in an intensive care unit. The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave.

Cardi B was among many to respond to the incident on Instagram. On Sunday evening (Aug. 23), hours after the shooting, Cardi posted the graphic video online.

“Wow this is SICKENING!” she wrote. “I can’t believe it! What’s going to be the excuse now?”

“They just don’t give a fu*k nomore!” Cardi’s post continued. “SOMETHING MUST HAPPEN! Yooo this is insane they really not giving a fuck anymore. Lord please!”

50 Cent also reacted to the shooting on his own Instagram account.

“No way what the fu*k kinda law enforcement is this?” he wrote. “Shot this man 7 times in his back, in front of his kids.”

“The world is just over,” 50 added. “Fu*k it!”

As reported by REVOLT, neighbors and witnesses say Blake was breaking up a verbal fight between two women when police arrived. He was shot in front of his young children, who were sitting in his car. According to a press release, the shooting is now being investigated by the Wisconsin Department of Justice.

“While we do not have all of the details yet, what we know for certain is that he is not the first Black man or person to have been shot or injured or mercilessly killed at the hands of individuals in law enforcement in our state or our country,” Wisconsin Gov. Tony Evers tweeted about the incident on Sunday (Aug. 23).
