G Herbo has shared a touching tribute and photo of himself with. The 18-year-old black high school graduate was reportedly fatally shot in her car while stopped at a red light by a white man in Akron, Ohio on Sunday (June 14). Herbo had apparently met Crawford and responded to fans’ requests that he share their picture together.

“BEAUTIFUL BABY GIRL YOU COULD HAVE NEVER DONE A THING IN YOUR LIFE TO DESERVE THIS!” he wrote alongside the post on Monday (June 15). “PRAYERS GO OUT TO YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY #JusticeForNakia SMH WE NEED TO START MAKING SOME DEMANDS FAST.”

According to News 5 Cleveland, Crawford suffered multiple gunshot wounds and later passed away at the Akron City Hospital. Her grandmother was also in the car with her, but was uninjured. Crawford’s family believes the shooting was racially motivated.

“Na’Kia Crawford was a young woman who deserved a life and a future,” Akron Mayor Dan Horrigan said in a statement. “She was a recent high school graduate, preparing to start the next chapter of her story at Central State University. Her senseless murder is devastating, not only to her family and friends, but to the entire Akron community.”

“I spoke with Na’Kia’s father and uncle, who I know, early this morning, and my heart truly goes out to all Na’Kia’s loved ones in this time of incredible grief and pain,” he continued. “These events are extremely real and important to me and to the Akron Police detectives investigating Na’Kia’s death. I feel that it is essential to say clearly and loudly: Black lives matter. Na’Kia Crawford’s life mattered.”

The incident is reportedly being investigated, as Akron police look for a white male suspect in a black sports car with tinted windows. The department is asking anyone with information on Crawford’s death to call 330-375-2490. No arrests in the case have been made at this time.
