Megan Thee Stallion hit the streets of West Hollywood on Sunday (June 14) to protest for the rights and safety of African Americans and the LGBTQ+ community in a joint Black Lives Matter and Pride protest. The Houston Hottie hopped on Instagram to debut her new rainbow-colored hair and support the cause.

“Today was a good day,” she posted. “#AllBlackLivesMatter #BlackLivesMatter.”

“Happy pride month hotties,” she wrote in another.

Common and Tiffany Haddish also attended Sunday’s protest (June 14). After the march, Common tweeted, “ALL. BLACK. LIVES. MATTER.”

Earlier this month, Megan brought attention to Iyanna Dior, a Black transgender woman who was reportedly injured in what appeared to be a prejudiced attack. The Suga rapper posted a photo of Dior on her Instagram and called on her followers to help her out financially via CashApp.

“The video of lyanna Dior really broke my heart!” Meg posted at the time. “Please help her out any way you can if you know her real cash app put it in the comments. #BlackLivesMatter #BlackTransLivesMatter.”

Megan Thee Stallion also recently used her platform to encourage her followers to purse higher education. The rapper herself is a college student Texas Southern University studying health administration.

“Although school is not for everyone, do not let people discourage you from pursuing a higher education,” she wrote on Twitter. “We need the upcoming generation with better mindsets to become our next lawyers, judges, doctors, etc. We need GOOD people with real morals and values in high places.”

The “Captain Hook” crafter has donated over $10,000 to her hometown of Houston in support of ongoing protests against police brutality. Her donation benefitted Restoring Justice, a nonprofit that is working to bring an end to mass incarceration and providing bail assistance to Black Lives Matter protesters.
