Eminem is continuing to showcase his philanthropy during these tough times. The “Godzilla” rapper is donating a rare pair of Air Jordan Retro 4s to raise money for COVID-19 relief.

“Cleanin’ out my closet… donating extra pair of my @jumpman23 @carhartt 4’s along with a vintage T to @stockx,” he captioned the Instagram post. “Proceeds go to the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund. Link in bio.”

In an interview with “Sway in the Morning,” the Detroit native recalled a phone conversation with Michael Jordan about a possible sneaker collaboration.

“Everything was good until we get to the end of the phone call, and I said, ‘Yo man, when are you going to come to Detroit so I can dunk on you,’” Em said. “It was crickets. When I got off the phone, I remember thinking, ‘I don’t think he knew I was joking.’”

Along with his Jordan sneaker donation, the Music To Be Murdered By rapper donated cups of spaghetti to the staff at Henry Ford Hospital in his hometown. The hospital posted a photo of the spaghetti they received from Em and thanked him for his help.

“Our #HealthcareHeroes ‘lost themselves’ in the delicious Mom’s Spaghetti donated by Detroit’s very own, @eminem. Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members!” the post reads.

The “Mom’s Spaghetti” name references lyrics from his hit single, “Lose Yourself.” In the song, Em raps, “His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy/ There’s vomit on his sweater already, mom’s spaghetti/ He’s nervous, but on the surface he looks calm and ready/ To drop bombs, but he keeps on forgettin’.”

In 2017, the MC opened up a three-day Mom’s Spaghetti pop-up shop in his hometown. The location featured exclusive merchandise and signature dishes inspired by his role in 8 Mile.
