If you’re not familiar with DreamDoll, you might be familiar with her claim to fame. The New York rapper is best known for her appearances on popular reality shows, namely “Bad Girls Club” and “Love & Hip Hop.” Now, she’s looking to raise her profile as a true artist to match.

This week, Dream celebrates Valentine’s Day by releasing a new single titled “Who You Loving?,” which features West Coast star G-Eazy and relative newcomer Rahki. Produced by Hitmaka, Tariq Beats, Paul Cabbin and BoogDaBeast, “Who You Loving?” takes from the classic LL Cool J single “Loungin (Who Do Ya Luv)” (which in itself samples Bernard Wright’s 1985 hit of the same name). On the song, Dream exudes confidence to her lucky suitor before getting explicit about how she pleases her partners:

Who you lovin’, who you wanna be?/

I’m the girl of your dreams, ain’t know what that mean?/

Bustin’ out your grey sweats is because of me/

Original DreamDoll, she a wannabe…/”

She explained the inspiration for the release to HipHopDX:

“Growing up—I’m a ‘92 baby, so that song was one of my favorites and I love LL Cool J so I was like, let’s bring it back…I was thinking about sampling a few songs, and that one is just one of my favorites.”

Adding to the laid-back cut is an accompanying visual courtesy of Eif Rivera, which sees Dream and G-Eazy playing out a whirlwind romance in different parts of the Empire State.

The new single signals a third project on the horizon. Previously, DreamDoll released two installments of her Plastic Life series in 2017 and 2018…past features include Lil Kim, Maino, Don Q, CupcakKe and more.
