The last week has been full of bad news and unfortunately, more is continuing to break. TMZ is reporting that one of R&B singer Bobby Brown’s sons Bobby Jr. has passed away. He was only 28 years old.

“A source close to the family tells TMZ Bobby Jr. was found dead Wednesday in his home in the L.A. area,” the news outlet claims. “Police are still at the house, and our sources tell us, at this point, they do not believe there was foul play involved.”

As many fans of the singer already know, this isn’t the first child that Bobby Sr. lost. Bobbi Kristina, his daughter that he shared with the late Whitney Houston, passed away in 2015 at the age of 22 months after going on life support following drowning in a bathtub. It was later discovered that she had “toxic levels of cocaine and alcohol in her system,” TMZ adds.

Bobbi Kristina’s death was eerily similar to her mother’s, as Houston was also found unconscious in a bathtub after an accidental drug overdose three years prior to her daughter’s death.

Bobby Jr. was one of Bobby Sr.’s seven children. His mother, Kim Ward, was with Bobby Sr. on and off for 11 years before the singer met and married Houston.

Over the years, the R&B star has been very protective about his deceased loved ones. Just last year after Chris Rock made a joke about Houston, the New Edition singer threatened him. “When I see you on site I am going to smack every tooth out of your mouth,” Brown wrote in response to the joke. “I thought you was a friend to my family but when I see you I’m a bust your ass. During this time of women empowerment you chose to use your time to try and humiliate our QUEEN!”
