Earlier today (Sept. 6), A$AP Rocky’s first lawyer in his Swedish assault case was reportedly shot.

According to TMZ, Rocky’s former lawyer, Henrik Olsson Lilja, was leaving his apartment when a gunman walked up to him and pulled the trigger. Olsson Lilja was struck in the head and chest. Cops stated that the lawyer was inside the building during the time of the attack. Following the unfortunate event, the gunman went inside an SUV and sped off. There is still no word yet on Olsson Lilja’s condition as the story is still developing.

Initially, Olsson Lilja took on Rocky’s case before it went to trial. During the trial, prosecutors found Rocky guilty of assault. After hearing the devasting news, the New York rapper shared his thoughts on Instagram.

“I AM OF COURSE DISAPPOINTED BY TODAY’S VERDICT,” he began. “I WANT TO SAY THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF MY FANS, FRIENDS, AND EVERYONE WHO SHOWED ME LOVE DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME. IMMA KEEP MOVING FORWARD. THANK YOU TO MY TEAM, MY MANAGEMENT, ATTORNEYS, LABEL AND EVERYONE WHO ADVOCATED FOR JUSTICE.”

Following his release from prison, Rocky has taken steps to redeem his life. The weekend after he was released, Rocky visited Kanye West’s Sunday Service to thank the Chicago spitter and his family for their support during a difficult time. It’s no secret that Kim Kardashian West and her husband got in touch with the White House in hopes of helping their friend. “Thank you @realDonaldTrump, @SecPompeo, Jared Kushner & everyone involved with the efforts to Free ASAP Rocky & his two friends. Your commitment to justice reform is so appreciated,” the KUWTK star wrote on Twitter.

More recently, Rocky released his latest visual “Babushka Boi.” Although the video has only been out for a little while, it has garnered over 12 million views.
