Over the weekend, Stacey Dash was arrested for allegedly hitting her new husband, Jeffrey Marty.

According to TMZ, Dash was arrested on Sunday (Sept. 29) in Pasco County. Cops received a call from Dash’s home around 7:45 p.m. in response to a domestic dispute between her and Marty. Sources report that Dash allegedly pushed and slapped Marty and that’s when officers arrived. Upon their arrival, cops found scratches on Marty’s left arm.

Currently, Dash is being held in custody on a $500 bail. Last spring, the couple said “I Do” in a secret wedding ceremony that took place in Florida. Page Six reported that the wedding took place a few days after the Clueless actress backed out of her plans to run for Congress in California. In her statement, Dash explained that she withdrew from the race due to “bitterness.” She said, “Deciding to withdraw my candidacy was a difficult choice, but I have to go where I feel God is leading me.”

Marty, on the other hand, is a lawyer who is known for creating a fake representative by the name of Rep. Steven Smith of Georgia. He is also the first “congressman” to endorse President Donald Trump.

In the past, Dash married producer Brian Lovell and their relationship lasted from 1999 to 2005. Shortly after, Dash tied the knot to executive James Maby from 2005 to 2006. One year later, Dash married actor Emmanuel Xuereb, however, the two called it quits in 2011.

Stacey Dash’s team has yet to make an official statement regarding the alleged abuse accusations.
