For the Beyhive, Sept. 4 is a very important day: It's Queen Bey's birthday. Although there are two days left until the very special occasion, that hasn't stopped Beyoncé from celebrating early.
Over the weekend, the mother-of-three spent time enjoying performances at the Made in America Festival in Philadelphia with her husband, JAY-Z. In an effort to surprise the multihyphenate, friends and family gifted Bey with a birthday cake backstage. In the video uploaded to Instagram, the group sang "Happy Birthday" as Bey accordingly sways to the tune, of course.
There's no telling what Beyoncé and her family have planned for the big day this year. Last year, Bey shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, which reflected on some of her monumental highlights.
"At 36, I became a new mother of 3," she wrote. "I breastfed twins. I renewed my vows with my husband of ten years. I came back home to the stage to do Coachella, after pregnancy. Then my husband and I released our album together, Everything Is Love. And we've been touring with our family around the world, and loving it. This year has been monumental for me. I thank God for everyone in my life. Thank you for all the positivity and for the beautiful birthday wishes. I'm looking forward to continuing to learn from my past, living in the present, and surrendering to the future. I love you, Hive."
More recently, the Lemonade singer shared her weight loss regime with the Beyhive. In a video uploaded to YouTube, the 37-year-old singer and her trainer, Marco Borges, explain the benefits of a plant-based diet. With the 22 Days Nutrition program, Bey cut out sugar, fish, bread, carbs, meat, alcohol, and dairy from her diet. As a result, Beyoncé was able to get in shape for her iconic Coachella performance.
