Tekashi 6ix9ine’s pending trial has begun.

Today (Sept. 17), the 23-year-old rapper took the stand to testify against the men that were accused of kidnapping him last year. According to reporter Matthew Russell Lee, who was live-tweeting from the courtroom, 6ix9ine claimed that rapper Trippie Redd was once a member of a gang. “Trippie Redd was part of Five Nine Brims, Hernandez testifies,” Lee wrote, who refers to 6ix9ine by his government name, Daniel Hernandez.

As part of his testimony, 6ix9ine states that his role in the Nine Trey gang was to “make money for the gang and distribute that money among Nine Trey members.” At one point during the two-hour session, 6ix9ine pointed at defendants, Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and Anthony “Harv” Ellison, and identified them as Nine Trey Gang members. Elsewhere, U.S. attorneys played “Kooda,” which is a song by Tekashi named after one of his close friends. In addition to playing the track, the attorneys pulled up a transcript of the lyrics.

Back in January, 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to federal charges. The “FEFE” rapper is facing a minimum of 47 years in prison, however, he could get out sooner if he fully cooperates with the plea deal agreement.

Following his testimony, TMZ caught up with Skinnyfromthe9 in New York City. The “Girls Ain’t Loyal” spitter claimed that 6ix9ine’s snitching testimony was incorrect. The 23-year-old explained that Tekashi will have a hard time reviving his career following his decision to turn his back on his crew.

Last year, 6ix9ine’s career was proven to be very successful. In November of 2018, 6ix9ine released his album, Dummy Boy, which featured Kanye West, Gunna, Nicki Minaj and more. More details regarding 6ix9ine’s testimony can be found below. Check out the tweets for yourself.
