Back in 2017, Future and Young Thug dropped their collaborative effort, Super Slimey. Now, it appears as if the duo is ready for round two.

Two days ago, Thug’s record label, YSL Records, issued a tweet regarding the release of Super Slimey 2. According to the tweet, it appears that Lil Baby and Gunna will lend a helping hand. “Super Slimey 2 by @youngthug @1future @lilbaby4PF@1GunnaGunna COMING SOON,” the tweet stated before getting deleted.

If Lil Baby and Gunna do appear on the follow-up mixtape, it would mark the second full-length collaboration between the two emcees. In 2018, the two rappers joined forces to release their mixtape, Drip Harder.

More recently, Lil Baby faced mixed reactions from fans after stating that he paid Gunna to write songs for him. The “Yes Indeed” spitter reasoned that he was able to establish his flow as a rapper through this process.

“[Gunna] was already rapping so I kicked it with him and started f–king with him,” Lil Baby began. Then I started rapping, and he actually started to helping me rap. I done paid Gunna to write my songs. I never put the songs out but like when I first started rapping I used to pay him like $100 like ‘I’ma give you a $100 write something for me so I can try to learn to go in and record it.’ I ain’t never recorded the songs and put them out but that’s how I used to practice and try to get it right because I just started rapping out of nowhere.”

After the interview made its rounds around the internet, Lil Baby clarified what he meant. The “Close Friends” rapper stated that Gunna didn’t actually write his songs but showed him how to rap. “Gunna ain’t never wrote no song for me,” he said. “He just showed me how to rap, like, if he wrote a song, he wrote like what I got going on.”
