Hotties and Barbz, get ready.
Over the weekend, Shazam seemingly confirmed that Nicki Minaj will make a guest appearance on Megan Thee Stallion's "Hot Girl Summer" track. On Sunday (Aug. 4), a Twitter user took a screenshot of Shazam identifying Megan's upcoming track with Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign listed as collaborators. Last week, Megan explained on Twitter that her song was pushed back but it will be worthwhile.
"Hotties I kno I said my song 'HOTGIRL SUMMER' would be dropping tomorrow but now it's dropping 8/9 ! I promise it's sooo worth the wait," she wrote.
Minaj and Megan share a mutual level of respect for each other. While on Instagram Live with each other, Megan explained that the New York spitter is the GOAT. "Stop playing with Nicki Minaj like she ain't the motherf--king GOAT," Megan stated. "Stop f--king playing with us, in the name of Jesus!"
As a token of her appreciation, the "Megatron" rapper thanked Megan for her kind words. "I really appreciate you, and even though we've been joking a lot, I wanted to tell you that it means a lot to me all of the nice and all of the sweet things that you ever said," she said. "Like, it means the world to me."
Before wrapping up the conversation, Megan stated that her upcoming album needs a verse from the Queen emcee. "I'm finally gonna start working on my album, and we need the Queen… We don't have a date," she revealed. "We just started recording."
It's safe to assume that Megan might've received her wish. "Hot Girl Summer" is slated to drop on Friday (Aug. 9). Nonetheless, fans couldn't help but express their excitement regarding the potential collaboration.
