The date is approaching rather quickly.

Following the untimely death of Nipsey Hussle back in March, it has been a constant battle on who should keep custody of his 10-year-old daughter, Emani Asghedom.

According to a new report from The Blast, Emani's mother, Tanisha Foster appeared in court yesterday alongside Lauren London and Hussle's brother, Sam Asghedom. For some time now, Foster and Emani have been meeting with a grief counselor in hopes of making progress with their relationship. "I am pleased to report that my client and her daughter have each had private grief counseling sessions," adding that the two are "making excellent progress and are both benefiting by the grief counseling," Foster's attorney wrote in the legal documents. The court has ruled that a custody hearing will be held on Oct. 15.

A few months prior, there were reports that Hussle's family felt Foster was unfit to have full custody of Emani. Besides Emani, Foster also has an 18-year-old daughter who has a history of juvenile facilities. In addition to that, Foster's 17-year-old son has reportedly been moving from countless homes and has an inconsistent school attendance record.

Back in June, during Emani's elementary school graduation, Hussle's eldest child thanked both her mom and Dad for her upbringing. "I want to begin by sharing my thankfulness for my mom for believing in me, and my dad, for always being there for me," she said.

Speaking on Hussle being honored, Hussle's team recently announced that his collaboration with PUMA will be dropping sooner than later. "Our team is proud to announce that our first collaborative capsule with Puma drops on September 5th 2019," the statement reads. "Nipsey spearheaded this project from concept to final product over the course of last year, flying to meetings, reviewing samples, bringing in material references he liked, and most importantly ensuring that it reflected his style authentically with no compromise."
