At midnight, Normani shocked the world with her 2000’s-themed music video, “Motivation.”

In the Dave Meyers and Daniel Russell-directed visual, a younger version of Normani is portrayed watching the hit TV show, “106 & Park.” Throughout the video, Normani pays homage to Beyoncé’s “Crazy in Love,” Jennifer Lopez’s “I’m Real (Remix),” Ciara’s “1, 2 Step,” Omarion’s “Touch” and so much more. To add the icing on the cake, Normani busts out into effortless choreography reminding us that she’s multitalented, to say the least.

Although it’s only been a few hours since the video was released, stars have joined in to celebrate the Houston-raised singer. Kehlani went to Twitter to express her excitement over Normani’s latest video. “I love this normani movement cuz we ain’t had our own superstar triple threat girl to stan over as a generation. we grew up on them but she’s OURS. and she’s BLACK mwuahahahaYES,” she wrote. Kelly Rowland also chimed in stating: “Loved it babe!”

In an interview with PAPER, the “Dancing With a Stranger” songstress explained how exciting it is venture out on her own. Throughout this process of self-discovery, Normani has learned that she is invincible.

“It’s a brand new world of self-discovery for me, and I’m still in the process of that,” she said. “There’s been so many things that I’ve been able to do. I’ve been able to write more, and I’ve even been having fun in terms of producing. I’ve learned that I actually have that ear and that I know what I want. I’m learning the terminology and all the technical side of it. I’m really hands-on in every single aspect of my music.”

“Motivation” serves as the first single from the 23-year-old’s upcoming debut solo album. Take a moment to rewind to the 2000s and watch Normani’s latest visual below.
