J. Cole won’t stand for any injustice regarding his good friend, Colin Kaepernick.

While on Twitter yesterday night (Aug. 14), Cole shared a viral video that explains Kaepernick’s story. In the video, there are a variety of people who thank the former San Francisco 49ers quarterback for taking a knee during the singing of the National Anthem. The people in the video reiterate what Kaepernick stands for including justice and social change. For his comment, Cole reminds his followers that Kaepernick should be allowed to get his job back.

“Thank you @Kaepernick7 we ain’t forgot. @nfl let the man work,” Cole said in a tweet in addition to the viral video.

This isn’t the first time that the Dreamville CEO has offered support towards Kaepernick. Last year, Cole donated $10,000 to Kaepernick’s charity campaign, Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle, as part of the NFL free agent’s campaign to raise $1 million for charities in underserved communities.

“This next brother I’ve known for years. He’s one of my favorite artists and has had my back from day one. J. Cole,” Kaepernick stated. “J. Cole is donating $10,000 to Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle, whose goal is to radically change the discourse around politics by interjecting the community voice into the political conversation. Thank you, brother. We love you. We appreciate you, and we can’t wait to see what you do next.”

In the past three years, Kaepernick has yet to be hired by another team in the league. Back in February, Kaepernick and the NFL reached a settlement agreement. The terms of the agreement remain confidential. In a statement issued by the attorneys for the atheletes and the NFL, both parties spoke on the matter.

“For the past several months, counsel for Mr. Kaepernick and Mr. Reid have engaged in an ongoing dialogue with representatives of the NFL. As a result of those discussions, the parties have decided to resolve the pending grievances. The resolution of this matter is subject to a confidentiality agreement so there will be no further comment by any party.”
