Juice WRLD says that he is officially done with codeine.

Last night (July 8), the 20-year-old rapper explained on Twitter that he is done taking drugs like codeine. “Ima leave that s–t alone 4 good watch me.. I’m done w it,” Juice wrote. “I got work to do, a lot.

After sending out that tweet, Juice’s girlfriend, Ally, was in agreeance. The Chicago rapper explained to her and the rest of his fans that he is truly done with drugs. He explained the dangers of addiction and vowed to use his experience as a life lesson.

“Bae I’m sorry I be tweaking, you’ve put up with more than ppl know I know I be scaring you, f–k Codeine I’m done. I love you and im letting it be known publicly that ain’t s–t f–king up the real love I found. Learn from this everyone. Addiction kills all but you can overcome,” Juice wrote.

For what it’s worth, Juice isn’t the first rapper to admit having struggles with addiction. Earlier this year, Future admitted that he was hesitant to tell fans that he quit drinking lean. The Atlanta rapper also apologized to Juice after finding out that the “Lucid Dreams” artist began drinking lean because of him.

“I don’t want to tell nobody I stopped drinking lean,” Future said to Genius‘ Rob Markman. “I didn’t want to tell them because I felt like then they was going to be like ‘oh, his music changed because he ain’t drinking lean no more.’ Or, ‘I can hear it when he changing.’ And people be like ‘Damn, why don’t you even say it?’ But it’s hard when your fans are used to you being a certain type of way.”

More recently, Juice announced that he’s working on a follow-up album to Death Race For Love. Check out Juice’s tweets below.
