R. Kelly is currently being held with no bond in a Cook County jail following his federal indictment in Chicago last week. Now, he's waiting to be arraigned on racketeering and conspiracy charges in New York.

According to the Chicago Tribune,, Kelly will be transported by U.S. marshals to New York and arraigned in the Eastern District Court on August 2. Kelly also has another hearing in Chicago scheduled for September 4.

Kelly's lawyer Steven Greenberg told the Tribune that the singer is currently being held in solitary confinement without access to television and limited daily telephone privileges.

On Friday, a Kelly associate also named in the federal Chicago indictment, Milton "June" Brown, faced a Chicago judge and entered a not guilty plea to a charge of conspiracy to receive child pornography.

The New York indictment includes one count of racketeering and four counts of violating the Mann Act, which forbids transporting people over state lines for the purpose of sexual acts. TheNew York charges revolve around five female victims, three of whom were underage at the time of the events described in the indictment. The racketeering charge accuses Kelly of being the ringleader of an enterprise, which included employees, that helped him recruit the women at concerts.
