After spending three months in jail on a probation violation, Soulja Boy is expected to be released from jail later on today (July 14).
According to TMZ, Big Drako is being released because of overcrowding, good behavior and time served. Back in May, the rapper was sentenced to seven months in jail after violating his probation. Police raided his home in relation to an investigation regarding a potential kidnapping that allegedly involved an ex-girlfriend. When authorities conducted the search in his home, ammunition was found. On top of the seven-month sentenced, he was also sentenced to an additional 265 days of community service.
The kidnapping charges were dropped last month due to lack of evidence.
Back in June, Soulja Boy talked to his fans (via his manager Miami Mike) about his plans to have the greatest comeback of the year. "I'm going on tour. Like I said, the biggest comeback of 2019," the rapper said. "Jail? Jail? Come on, man. You know I do this. Shout out to everybody that's been holding me down, come to visit me, putting money on my books. I love all my fans, it ain't over. It's a minor setback for a major comeback," Soulja Boy concluded.
Soulja's next album How Can You Blame Me? is expected to drop July 28.
