Megan Thee Stallion has been showing exemplary strength and grace since her mother's passing in March of this year. While she works to balance processing the loss of her mom, who also doubled as her manager, with the nature of her fast-rising career, the 300 Ent signee has also made time to connect with her fans through it all.

As reported on Tuesday (May 28), 26-year-old Cyril Briscoe was shot and killed in a drive-by shooting in Maryland on Monday (May 27) days after meeting the Houston rapper at an event. Taking to social media, someone close to Briscoe brought the tragedy to Megan's attention in hopes that she would see what happened and offer condolences.

The Fever artist saw the post on social media and after getting wind of the heartbreaking news that one of her fans had been killed, she decided to donate $1,200 to a GoFundMe that had been created to cover funeral expenses.

"I am so sorry for your [loss]. His energy was amazing when we met," Megan wrote in response to a tweet that included a photo of Briscoe happily posing with her and Wale.

"Tragically our beloved Cyril (DatManRell) was taken from us on May 27th," the GoFundMe description section reads. "As a family we are beyond devastated. Cyril was a talented treasure to everyone who knew him evidenced by the enormous outpouring of love from his community and beyond. Unfortunately, at this time the cost to bury him is too much to bear so we are asking for help. Anything you can give is more than appreciated and we thank you. Help us send Cyril home properly. Love to you all."

At the time of this report, the GoFundMe has raised $7448 of its $15,000 goal. As seen in a DM exchange shared on social media, Megan kindly offered to donate additional funds if the goal is not met.

As reported by CBS' local Baltimore affiliate, police have launched an investigation into suspects and possible motives for the fatal shooting.
