Flying Lotus delivers an astral afro-futurist masterpiece with "Flamagra"

Flying Lotus' "Flamagra" is finally here

Flying Lotus

The wait is finally over and Flying Lotus' 27-track album Flamagra has arrived. It has been nearly 5 years since we've seen an album from the artist. The new offering blends sounds of hip-hop, funk, soul, jazz, global dance music, tribal poly-rhythms, and IDM to create a masterpiece of startling originality. Features on the project include Anderson .Paak, George Clinton, Little Dragon, Tierra Whack, Denzel Curry, David Lynch, Shabazz Palaces, Thundercat, Toro y Moi, Solange and more.

Speaking more on the project, Flying Lotus states: "I'd been working on stuff for the past five years, but it was always all over the place. I'd always had this thematic idea in mind—a lingering concept about fire, an eternal flame sitting on a hill...some people love it, some people hate it. Some people would go on dates thereand some people would burn love letters in the fire."
