REVOLT and AT&T join forces for the REVOLT Hip Hop Summit

"Now more than ever, we need to own our culture. At the REVOLT Hip Hop Summit, we will empower young people..." chairman Sean "Diddy" Combs states.

On Monday (April 8), REVOLT and AT&T made the major announcement that they're officially joining forces to bring us the REVOLT Hip Hop Summit, a multi-city and multi-day cultural event that's inspired by the former REVOLT Music Conference (RMC).

The brand new event will take place in Atlanta, Georgia in early fall; as well as in Los Angeles, California later on that season. The experience's mission is to educate urban youths and equip them with knowledge that will make them feel empowered, and capable of creating positive changes in their lives and communities. REVOLT's press release states:

"Offering young people essential, real-life networking experience, the Summit will ultimately help them develop and hone the crucial skills business owners need to grow their companies. AT&T joins REVOLT on the Hip Hop Summit as a co-creator and exclusive presenting sponsor to help expand reach, providing greater access for those seeking to become future leaders."

REVOLT Media and TV chairman, Sean "Diddy" Combs, also issued a statement about the upcoming occasion. "Now more than ever, we need to own our culture. At the REVOLT Hip Hop Summit, we will empower young people with sessions on the issues they care about," he said. "From entrepreneurship and economic empowerment to social justice, we'll have the provocative conversations not happening anywhere else. With the support of AT&T, we will provide perspective on music and media that could only come from industry veterans committed to our future."

Not only will the event include educational programming, but performances, too! From major recording artists to local emerging ones from their respective cities, the REVOLT Hip Hop Summit will feature many fun partying moments, as well.

"We are more than just a television brand," REVOLT's CEO, Roma Khanna, told Variety. "Our success is going to be defined by owning the relationship and the dialogue with our audience. We are trying to create a universe that honors the amazing hip hop culture. We are taking it beyond television into digital and social-native content. We want to make sure we have live touch points for our audience at festivals and conferences."

She also added in the REVOLT Hip Hop Summit press release: "This is an exceptional moment for REVOLT. We have re-ignited our brand as the media home of unapologetic Hip Hop culture. We are building our TV content, digital presence, live events and distribution to create a focused brand with a clear identity in a noisy market.

"We're so excited for AT&T's support, which allows us to authentically represent and provide Hip Hop culture content for Millennials and Generation Z across platforms in an impactful way."

Information regarding ticket sales and headliners will be announced soon.
