Drake and Future tease 'What A Time To Be Alive' sequel: "We gotta cook that up"

The project is "already cooked up" and "top secret," according to Future.

It looks like Drake and Future might have reunited in the studio to record the follow up to their 2015 collab project What A Time To Be Alive, and fans couldn't be more excited.

Over the last several weeks, Future has appeared as a special guest during a few of Drake's Assassination Vacation Tour dates in Europe, and on Thursday (April 4), the two teased the sequel to their beloved project on Future's Instagram story.

"What's that? We gotta cook that up. That 2," Drake said holding up two fingers in the clip. "It's already cooked up. Top secret," Future then reply.

Rumors about a What A Time To Be Alive 2 have been circulating for a while now, however, On Smash recently reported that the project is completed with new material recorded over the years.

Speaking of the Assassination Vacation Tour, Drake kicked off his seven-show run in London by paying tribute to slain rapper Nipsey Hussle.

During the "Nice For What" rapper's show at The O2 on April 1, Drake projected an image of Hussle's face on the floor while he performed "Elevate."

"Want you to make some noise for the people who love you unconditionally because you never know how short life is," he told the crowd.

Hussle was gunned down outside of his Marathon Clothing store in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Los Angeles on March 31. A few days after the murder, police arrested the alleged shooter, 29-year-old Eric Holder, and charged him with one count of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and one count of possession of a firearm by a felon. Holder entered a not guilty plea on Thursday afternoon; bail was set at $5 million.

Funeral arrangements for Hussle will be announced on Monday, April 7.
