Fresh off releasing her debut studio album, Cuz I Love You, Lizzo’s burgeoning career continues to be a delight to cheer on with yet another exciting development.

As reported by Deadline on Thursday (April 25), the rapper, singer, songwriter and flautist is gearing up to extend her talents into the world of acting and entertainment.

The natural born performer has officially joined the cast of Hustlers, the upcoming stripper drama starring Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Constance Wu, KeKe Palmer, Julia Stiles, Lili Reinhart and more.

While the recording artist previously lent her vocals to the animated film UglyDolls, her involvement in Hustlers will double as her official on-screen debut.

As previously reported, the Lorene Scafaria-directed film follows a group of exotic dancers who join forces to seek revenge on their wealthy Wall Street clients. The movie, which is based on a New York Magazine article from 2016 written by Jessica Pressler, is currently being filmed in New York City.

Judging from the star-studded cast and the sub-title of the film, which reads “Here’s a modern Robin Hood story for you: a few strippers who stole from (mostly) rich, (usually) disgusting, (in their minds) pathetic men and gave to, well, themselves,” this movie is going to make for a hilarious ride.

According to Deadline, Hustlers is set to hit theaters later this year on Sept. 13.

In related news, Lizzo recently performed at Coachella, with the festival date coinciding with the first leg of her North American tour. The run of shows began on April 22 and is set to run through the summer.

Cuz I Love You, which marks her third album overall but first on a major label, features guest appearances from Missy Elliott and Gucci Mane. The album officially dropped last week (April 19) and reached the No. 1 spot on the iTunes chart over the weekend.
