As 2019 continues to unfold, the roller coaster of a year that Soulja Boy has been having continues to be met with various plot twists and turns.

Most recently, fans were drawn to his Instagram account but not to hear the rapper talking about his business moves or trolling, but rather to see what exactly was going on given that the rapper is currently being held in a California jail and not as present on social media as a result.

As it turns out, Soulja's Instagram account, which boasts a colossal 5.9 million followers, was unfortunately hacked late Monday night (April 15). While nothing too crazy has happened as a result of the hacking, an unidentified woman showed up on his livestream, demanding that the rapper's team hand over $1,000 in order to give back access to the Instagram account.

"Y'all gotta give us a band to get his s--t back," the female IG hacker can be heard saying into the camera. Another man appeared on-screen during the Instagram Live session, showcasing how the digital hijacking effort was most likely not executed by a lone hacker.

At the time of this report, there are no rogue posts or anything that suggests the hacker's demands weren't met. After all, given the rapper's various business endeavors and successes in the music industry, $1,000 isn't all that unreasonable of a request. Regardless, due to Soulja Boy's current incarceration, there wasn't much he could personally do to appease the hackers but it appears that someone from his team has since stepped in and handled the situation.

On Thursday (April 11), Soulja Boy was arrested after a judge determined that the rapper had violated his probation stemming from weapons charges. As reported, the judge ruled that he was in violation of his probation due to possessing ammunition in his home. He also was accused of trying to falsify evidence that would've proven he had completed all mandatory community service hours as part of his sentencing.

At the time of this report, Soulja Boy is being held without bail.
