Fabolous has struck a plea deal and will avoid jail time over his domestic violence case, TMZ reports.

In October 2018, the 41-year-old rapper was indicted on four felony charges including one count of domestic violence with significant bodily injury, two counts of threatening to kill and one count of possession of a weapon (a pair of scissors). The charges stemmed over an altercation which occurred at the rapper's home in New Jersey earlier that year.

Emily Bustamante, the mother of Fab's two kids and former "Love and Hip Hop" star, reportedly told police officers the rapper punched her seven times and knocked out two of her teeth. TMZ also uploaded footage of the ordeal showcasing the Brooklyn rapper in an irate state outside of their home. He was holding an unidentified object in the one minute clip.

Fabolous later turned himself into authorities and was charged with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats. Following the reports of assault, Fab and Bustamante remained together. In February, he wished her a happy birthday with a heart emoji on Instagram. Bustamante's brother, whom the "Breathe" rapper also allegedly threatened, reportedly made amends with Fabolous as well.

As per Fab's (real name John David Jackson) plea deal with Bergen County, New Jersey Court, the emcee will have to enter a pretrial intervention program, TMZ reports. On Tuesday (March 5), his attorney, Brian Neary, told the site that Fab's charges will be dismissed once he successfully completes the program and remains out of trouble for 12 months.

Neary also revealed his client will have to provide the courts with mandatory status updates once a month. Fabolous will not have to take anger management classes or attend therapy. He was facing up to 20 years in prison.
