Kehlani is a proud mommy! The 23-year-old singer announced the birth of her daughter, Adeya, on Monday (March 25).

“this weekend our angel arrived healthy & perfect in every way in our bathroom at home,” she wrote on Instagram. “unmedicated homebirth was the absolute hardest yet most powerful thing i’ve ever done. thankful beyond words. in love beyond comparison.”

The California native also thanked fans for their support and well wishes, adding that she will be “refraining from posting to be family and rest.”

In October 2018, Kehlani surprised fans when she revealed she was expecting her first child with her band guitarist Javie Young-White, who is also bisexual.

“SHE DONT WANNA HIDE NO MO! this was so hard to contain. i’m so so so happy. the highest blessing one could receive. i love you already, mama. 4 months & so grateful,” the “CRZY” songstress wrote alongside a series of photos featuring her growing baby bump.

At the time, Kehlani told fans she “dreamt about motherhood” since she was a young girl. “When asked what my goals are, it’s always the idea of a big healthy happy family & whatever comes along is a plus,” she shared.

The singer continued, “I am so honored to be given this gift by spirit, creator, and an amazing partner whom I trust with my body and life after a very traumatic experience that had me afraid of interacting with men as a whole for what I was sure would be forever (I’ll tell that story when it’s time).”

Young-White also took to social media to confirm the arrival of his baby girl. “Adeya is home. Kehlani gave birth at home standing up, unmedicated, into my arms as we spoke her 1st words to her,” he revealed on Twitter. “The most beautiful moment of my life These two are my reason & resolve. We are enjoying each other & our health, resting & surrendering to love. My heart is full.”

Congrats to the happy parents!
