Cliff Dixon, known for his relationship with "Love & Hip Hop" star Erica Mena, is dead after being shot in Atlanta while he was out celebrating his birthday.
As reported by TMZ, Dixon was fatally shot at the SL Lounge when a gunman opened fire outside of the club. The shooting took place around 1AM on Thursday (March 21). After the shooting incident, he was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Dixon, who was 32 at the time of his death, was reportedly shot multiple times while standing in the club's parking lot. Police are currently investigating the incident and the death is being treated as a homicide. At the time of this report, it remains unclear whether Dixon was specifically targeted.
According to the incident report, an officer says he was in his patrol unit outside of the club when he observed a Black male who was wearing all black and wearing a black skull cap. The police officer says he saw the suspect open fire and immediately take off as others began to give chase.
The tragic murder of Dixon, who has been friends with NBA player Kevin Durant since childhood, soon became known on social media, with those close to him beginning to express their grief.
Dave East took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt message, revealing that Dixon was recently with him during a studio session.
"I Can't think of no memories with @easymoneysniper or @tdurant And u wasn't there," the Harlem rapper wrote. "We been cool since like 16-17 years old. U was just in my session in Atlanta listening to my album this s--t super wacc!!!! Rest in heavenly peace bro u ain't deserve whatever happen to u all we talked about was ball bitches and gettin to it!!!! God bless you cuzo real s--t."
Mena and Dixon dated for about ten months prior to the reality TV star moving on after their split and becoming engaged to Safaree.
